Hospitalists
Dr. Vijay Parthiban, MD, MBA
President & CEO
Dr. Parthiban is the co-founder and CEO of P&C Healthcare. He received his Medical Degree from Stanley Medical College and completed postgraduate training at Lincoln Medical & Mental Health Center in 1997. Dr. Parthiban completed his fellowship training in Infectious Diseases at University of South Alabama and received his MBA with a focus in Medical Management from Isenberg School of Management, University of Massachusetts. Dr. Parthiban was the Reginal Medical Director for Emcare from 2014-2016. Dr. Parthiban cofounded and is currently the CEO, along with Dr. Chitaia, of P&C Healthcare in 2016.
Dr. Nikoloz Chitaia, MD
President & CEO
Dr. Chitaia is the co-founder and CEO of P&C Healthcare. He graduated from Tbilisi State Medical University and AIETI Medical School. He did an Internal Medicine Residency at Emory University. After completing fellowship training in Endocrinology at the University of Florida, Dr. Chitaia practiced as an Endocrinologist in Puyallup, Washington. In 2009 he joined HCA Centerpoint Physicians Group as a consulting Endocrinologist and Hospitalist. Dr. Chitaia has provided telemedicine services since 2016. Dr Chitaia cofounded and is currently the CEO, along with Dr. Pathiban, P&C Healthcare in 2016.
Dr. Samer Abu-Amer, MD
Dr. Samer Abu-Amer graduated from Ross University School of Medicine in 2019. He completed his residency in 2022 at Research Family Medicine and has been with P&C Healthcare since 2022.
Dr. Kristie Baker, MD
Dr. Kristie Baker graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1993. She completed her residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at University of Missouri-Kansas City in 1994 and joined P&C Healthcare in 2023. Dr. Baker has worked in primary care and as a hospitalist for 23 years. She enjoys working with patients in fast paced, acute care settings.
Dr. Meghan Blay, DO
Dr. Meghan Blay is a 2006 graduate of Northwest Missouri State University with a degree in Exercise Physiology. She went on to attend Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences, and earned a Master of Science in Research and Biomedical Sciences, followed by their Doctor of Osteopathic degree in 2014.
Dr. Priscilla Borden, MD (Cass County Regional Only)
Dr. Priscilla Borden graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with a minor in Chemistry from Avila University. After earning her medical degree from the American University of the Caribbean in Miami, Florida in 2016, she completed her residency in Family Medicine at Research Medical Center in Kansas City in 2019.
Dr. Long Bui, DO
Dr. Long Bui graduated from Kansas City University Physicians and Surgeons in 2019 with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree. He was named 2023 Centerpoint Medical Center Physician of the Year, chosen by the nursing staff.
Dr. Mattias D'Anna, DO
Dr. D’Anna graduated from Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences in 2020. He completed his residency with HCA Overland Park Internal Medicine at Overland Park Reginal Medical Center in 2023. Dr. D’Anna currently resides in Lee’s Summit, MO and has been with P&C Healthcare since October 2023.
Dr. Amelia Goslin, DO
Dr. Amelia Goslin, DO is an Internal Medicine specialist whose medical foundation bridges neuroscience, health sciences, and osteopathic medicine. After earning her undergraduate degree in Psychology and Neuroscience from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 2010, she completed advanced health sciences coursework at Berkeley Extension in 2015. She went on to receive her medical degree from Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her Internal Medicine Residency at HCA Overland Park Regional Medical Center in 2022.
Dr. Archana Machavarpu, MD
Dr. Archana Machavarpu graduated with her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from Sri Venkata Sai Medical College in India in 2011. She then spent two years gaining specialized experience as a Gastroenterology Research Assistant and Resident. Dr. Machavarpu completed clinical externships in Massachusetts and served as a clinical research assistant at both Berkshire Medical Center and Baptist Health in south Florida. In 2019 Dr. Machavarpu completed an Internal Medicine Residency at Ocala Regional Medical Center.
Dr. Manish Mandava, MD
Dr. Manish Mandava earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University in 2014, he went on to complete a Master’s in Biotechnology at Johns Hopkins University in 2016. Dr. Mandava later earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Southern Illinois University in 2022.
Dr. Whitnee Maycock, MD
Dr. Whitnee Maycock graduated from the University of Texas. She completed her residency at the University of Missouri- Kansas City. Dr. Maycock joined P&C Healthcare in April of 2024.
Dr. Gewel De Los Santos Niebaum, MD
​Dr. De Los Santos Niebaum graduated from Truman State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. She earned her Master of Business Administration degree in General Management and Healthcare Administration from Plymouth State University. Dr. De Los Santos Niebaum earned a Medical Degree from American University of Antigua College of Medicine in St. John’s, Antigua and completed her Residency in Family Medicine at Research Medical Center. Dr. De Los Santos Niebaum has been with P&C Healthcare since 2023.
Dr. Aradhana Pandey, MD
Dr. Aradhana Pandey graduated from Sawai Man Singh Medical College in 2001. She completed an internship 2008-2009 at Mount Sinai Medical Center of Cleveland. Dr. Pandey completed her Residency in Internal Medicine in 2009-2012. She joined P&C Healthcare in February 2024.
Dr. Tommel Samani, MD
Dr. Tommel Samani graduated from the University of Missouri-Kansas City with a Bachelor of Science, Biology degree. In 2013, he graduated from American University of the Caribbean with a Doctor of Medicine. Dr. Samani completed a clinical fellowship from AUC School of Medicine in 2015.
Dr. Shivani Scharf, DO, FACP
Dr. Shivani Scharf is an Internal Medicine specialist whose clinical expertise is backed by robust leadership experience. After graduating from the University of Michigan in 2000 and receiving her medical degree from the Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2005, she completed an internship with a general surgery emphasis at Mt. Clemens Regional Medical Center. Dr. Scharf then fulfilled her internal medicine residency through Michigan State University's Kalamazoo Center for Medical Studies, where she was selected to serve as Chief Medical Resident from 2008 to 2009.
Dr. James Sweeney, DO
Dr. James Sweeney graduated with honors from Kansas City College of Medicine and Surgery in 2019. He completed the Family Medicine Residency Program at Research Medical Center in 2022.
Critical Care
Dr. Thomas Cooper, MD
Dr. Thomas Cooper earned his degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2007. He completed his residency in Family Medicine in 2010 HCA Healthcare Kansas City. In 2013 Dr. Cooper completed his residency in Emergency Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Dr. Cooper has been with P&C Healthcare since March of 2024.
Dr. Stephen Eikermann, DO
Dr. Stephen Eikermann graduated from Kansas City University in 2013. In 2017 he completed his residency in Internal Medicine in Corpus Christi, TX. He then completed a fellowship in Critical Care Medicine in 2019 at UMKC, Saint Luke’s-Plaza. Dr. Eikermann is board certified in Internal Medicine and Critical Care Medicine and began as the ICU medical director at Centerpoint Medical Center in July 2021. He is a Kansas City native, happily married husband and father of three children.
Dr. Michael J Waxman, MD, MBA, FACP, FCCP, FCCM, MRCP
Dr. Waxman is a 1976 graduate of The University of Kansas School of Medicine, where he completed his residency in Internal Medicine and his fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine. He is board certified in Internal Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine, and Critical Care Medicine.
Pulmonary
Dr. Catherine Joyce, MD
Dr. Joyce is a Pulmonary and Critical Care specialist with a comprehensive background in internal medicine, microbiology, and gerontology.
After completing her undergraduate degrees at Kansas State University, Dr Joyce earned her medical degree and completed her Internal Medicine residency at The University of Kansas. Dr. Joyce further sub-specialized by completing a fellowship in Pulmonary Critical Care at The University of Nebraska Medical Center.
Dr. Neeta Gaur, MD
Dr. Gaur is a highly specialized physician board-trained in Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine. After earning her medical degree from Bangalore University in India, she completed an Internal Medicine residency and a Pulmonary Medicine fellowship at Seton Hall University. Dr. Gaur further sub-specialized by completing a Critical Care fellowship at Brown University and a Sleep Medicine fellowship at the University of Missouri, Kansas City.
Dr. Munaf Siyamwala, MD
​Dr. Siyamwala earned a Medical Degree from B.J. Medical College Ahmedabad. In 2010, he completed his residency in Internal Medicine at Staten Island University Hospital. He then completed a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Care at St. Louis University in 2011. In 2017, Dr. Siyamwala completed a fellowship in pulmonary disease. Dr. Siyamwala has been with P&C Healthcare since September 2023.
Dr. Jeremy Strom, MD
Dr. Jeremy Strom earned a Bachelor of Science in Pre-Professional Biology with a Minor in Chemistry from Graceland College in 1998 He then earned Doctor of Medicine degree from Ross University School of Medicine in 2005. Dr. Strom completed a combined Internal Medicine and Pediatrics residency at the University of Kansas Medical Center in 2009, before completing subspecialty fellowship training in Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine in 2012.
Nocturnist
Dr. Abul Ahsan, MD
Dr. Abul Ahsan received his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Dhaka. He received his Doctorate of Medicine in 1995 from Mymensingh Medical College, where he completed an internship in Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Ahsan completed his residency at Canton Medical Education Foundation and fellowship at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center. Dr. Ahsan has been working as a hospitalist since 2008.
Dr. Vladimir Begilman, DO
Dr. Vladmir Begilman earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Temple University in 2012 before completing a Postbaccalaureate Accelerated Pre-Med Program at the Thomas Jefferson University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences in 2015. He went on to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (D.O.) degree from the Lincoln Memorial University-DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021 and completed an Internal Medicine Residency with HCA Healthcare GME in 2024.
Physicians Assistants
Clara Murray, PA
Clara Murray graduated from Washburn University in 2018 with a bachelor’s degree in Biology and Northwestern College’s Physician Assistant Program in 2022. She joined P&C Healthcare after graduation in December 2022 as Hospitalist PA.
Nurse Practitioners
Heather Begemann
​Heather Begemann is a board-certified nurse practitioner with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). She attended the University of Missouri BSN program graduating in 2009 and the MSN program in 2012. Heather joined P&C Healthcare in 2018 where she serves as the lead hospitalist nurse practitioner. She graduated in 2023 from the Endocrine Specialty program at Duke University
Mackenzie Edwards, NP
Mackenzie Edwards holds numerous certifications after she completed her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Graceland University-Independence, MO. In 2022, Mackenzie graduated with a Masters of Science in Nursing - Nurse Practitioner degree from The Research College of Nursing in Kansas City, MO.
Sarah Hall, RN, BSN
​Sara Hall is a dedicated healthcare professional with a diverse background in wellness and advanced nursing practice. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Physical Education from Oklahoma State University in 2011, laying a strong foundation in human movement and health education. She later obtained her Associate Degree in Nursing from Eastern Oklahoma State College in 2017. Most recently, she completed her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner at Research College of Nursing in Kansas City in 2024, equipping her to provide comprehensive, primary care to patients.
Kim Harris
Kim Harris graduated with her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree in 2009 from the University of Missouri-Kansas City where she was Vice President of Student Nurse Association. In 2018 she earned a Master of Science in Nursing degree from Graceland University. Prior to joining P&C Healthcare, Kim was a registered nurse in the Intensive Care Unit at Centerpoint Medical Center.
Kristen Martin
Kristen Martin earned an Associate of Science in Biochemistry from Pearl River Community College in 2017 before completing a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry at Mississippi University for Women in 2019; where she was honored as the Most Outstanding Student in Chemistry. Kristen continued her education by earning a Master of Biomedical Science from the William Carey University College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2021. In 2024, she completed a Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Mississippi State University,
Kathryn Pickett
Kathryn Pickett graduated from Luther College in 2008 before completing her nursing education at Research College of Nursing in 2011. Kathryn began her career as a Senior Charge Nurse at Research Hospital, followed by being a provider at urgent care. Since 2017 Kathryn has specialized as an Inpatient Hospitalist Nurse Practitioner.
Lauren Durie-Reabe
Lauren Reabe graduated in 2013 from Creighton University with a Bachelor of Science: Nursing degree. In 2021 she graduated from Rockhurst University with a Master of Science: Family Practice Nurse Practitioner degree. Also in 2021, Lauren completed the Preceptorship FNP Program in the Kansas City Metropolitan area. Prior to joining P&C Healthcare, Lauren worked in the Emergency Department as a nurse, as well as a traveling nurse.
Cindy Thompson
Cindy Thompson graduated in 2020 from Graceland University with her MSN, Acute Care Nurse Practitioner. She worked for Centerpoint Medical Center for 13 years as an ICU Charge Nurse and in Cardiovascular Services. Cindy has been with P&C Healthcare since March 2021.
